📢 New scientific publication from ULTRA RS!

We are pleased to announce the publication of our scientific paper, “Monitoring of tightening force using ultrasound”, in the e-Journal of Nondestructive Testing (eJNDT).

Conducted in collaboration with TotalEnergies OneTech, this work presents our research on ultrasonic monitoring of tightening force in bolted assemblies.

Monitoring bolt preload is a critical challenge across many industrial sectors. Ultrasonic techniques provide a direct way to assess the load state of fasteners, offering a reliable approach to improving the safety and reliability of critical assemblies.

This work was presented at the COFREND Days 2026 and builds upon more than 20 years of expertise developed by ULTRA RS in ultrasonic measurement and bolted joint monitoring.
